How do you verify my identity and my account information to prevent fraud?
SunTrust employs a two-tiered verification system to make sure your accounts are secure.
When you sign up for the Transfer Funds service, your financial institution provides confirmation of your identity and the accounts held at that financial institution.
Occasionally, SunTrust is unable to successfully register an account because of incomplete information received from the financial institution. If this happens, you can still provide this information to us to register for the service.
Accounts that reside at the Partner FI are auto-enabled and ready for use after you have accepted the terms of service. Before activating the Transfer Funds service for your other accounts, SunTrust verifies each one with your financial institution.
