What is an "OD Protection Temp Hold"?

Overdraft Protection Temporary Holds are temporary holds on available funds in a protector account (e.g. a savings account setup for overdraft protection) to cover an overdraft transaction made from the protected account (e.g. a checking account) This temporary hold will stay on the account until the funds are transferred to the protected account during nightly processing or if the funds are no longer needed because a deposit was made into the protected account to cover the overdraft transaction(s).
