What types of files can I attach to my secure message to SunTrust?


You can choose one file up to 500 KB to attach to each message. The following file types are currently supported:

  • Microsoft Office Word (.doc or .docx)
  • Microsoft Office Excel (.xls or .xlsx)
  • Microsoft Office PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx)
  • Adobe PDF (.pdf)
  • Text (.txt)
  • Rich text (.rtf)
  • Images (.jpg, .png, .gif, .tif)

To include an attachment to a secure message to SunTrust, perform the following steps:

From any SunTrust page, click Messages.

On the Messages page, click Send a Secure Message.

In the Send a Secure Message window, from the Select a Topic drop-down box, choose a topic, and from the Select an Account drop-down menu, select the account you want to correspond about.

In the Subject field, enter a subject, and in the Message field, enter the information you are corresponding about.

Click Add Attachment.

From the Open window, in the navigation field, navigate to the location of the file you want to attach.

Click to select the file you want to attach, then click Open.

If you attach the wrong document, you can remove it by clicking Remove.

Click Send.

At the Your message was sent successfully notification, click OK.
