Can I edit or cancel a future-dated payment?


Yes, you can edit or cancel a payment any time before the payment is processed. You can only edit certain fields, which include Send Date, Amount, Email Message, and the note, if you have added a note to the transaction.

If your SunTrust account has been debited and the recipient's account has not been credited, you can do a Stop Payment. Applicable fees may be applied to your account once the Stop Payment is placed. Please refer to the SunTrust Fee Schedule for specific fee information.

You will not see the Edit, Cancel or Stop Payment buttons when that option is no longer available.

Editing a future-dated payment

To edit a future-dated payment, perform the following steps:

From the Popmoney® service page, click the Activity tab, then click on Scheduled Payments.

Identify the transaction that you want to edit, and click the Arrow button to display the transaction details.

Under the payment information, click Edit Payment.

In the Edit Payment section, edit the information that you want to change.

Click Continue.

On the Edit Payment – Verify page, review the updated information, then click Submit.

You will receive a payment confirmation message.

Cancelling a future-dated payment

To delete a future-dated payment, perform the following steps:

From the Popmoney® service page, click the Activity tab, then click on Scheduled Payments.

Identify the transaction that you want to delete, and click the Arrow button to display the transaction details.

Under the payment information, click Cancel Payment.
